It is with great sadness that the Trasimeno Archaeological team announces the passing of Sig. Lucio Bucci, a long-time supporter of the Trasimeno archaeological project. Sig. Bucci was passionate about the history of the Trasimeno region and, in particular, its Roman heritage, which he lived and experienced every day as he traversed his fields. We are grateful to have the privilege of excavating the Roman Villa located on Sig. Bucci’s fields between Gioiella and Vaiano. He will always represent the heart and soul of this project. May he rest in peace.
